Flights to Israel with El Al Soon Available from 25 North American Cities

Beginning September 2, passengers departing from 25 major North American cities will be able to enjoy flights to Israel with El Al. Travelers can choose to connect to an El Al direct flight to Israel, or enjoy a stopover in a major European city. Additional benefits are available to El Al Matmid frequent flyers, first class and business travelers. Special fares are available on selected departure points in the US.

El Al, Israel's national carrier and the main operator of flights to Israel, is proud to announce an exciting new code sharing agreement with US carrier American Airlines. Beginning September 2, passengers traveling from 25 North American cities will be able to enjoy flights to Tel Aviv, Israel with El Al.

Initially, the code sharing flights to Israel will be available to passengers departing from San Francisco, Boston, Dallas / Forth Worth, Miami, and Washington, D.C. Later in the fall of 2008, passengers will be able to benefit from El Al code sharing Israel flights from the following additional departure points: Tampa, Florida; St. Louis, Missouri; Seattle, Washington; San Jose, California; San Diego, California; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Phoenix, Arizona; Orlando, Florida; Montreal, Canada; Las Vegas, Nevada; Indiana, Indianapolis; Honolulu, Hawaii; Denver, Colorado; Cleveland, Ohio: and Austin, Texas.

The new agreement means maximum flexibility and added convenience, due to smoother connections between the 25 North American points of departure and Tel Aviv, including direct flights to Israel from Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and Toronto. In addition, passengers will be able to enjoy flights to Israel from North American departure points, with stopovers in major European cities, such as London, Paris, Madrid, and Zurich. The trans-Atlantic leg of these flights will be operated by American Airlines, and flights to Tel Aviv from the European stopover cities will be operated by El Al.

El Al Matmid frequent flyer club members will be able to earn points on any flight operated by American Airlines. First and business class passengers and frequent flyers will be able to relax in the premium class lounges of both El Al and American airlines.

As part of the new code sharing agreement, El Al is delighted to offer special fares (incl. of fuel surcharges) on roundtrip flights to Tel Aviv from the following departure points:

October 26, 2008 - March 31, 2009 (except December 17-24, 2008):
Boston and Washington, DC: $1,311.
Chicago, Dallas/ Fort Worth, and Miami: $1,411
San Francisco: $1,511.

September 2 - October 25, 2008 (except October 6- 13):
Boston and Washington, D.C: $1,471.
Chicago, Dallas/ Fort Worth, and Miami: $1,591.
San Francisco: $1,711.
