The southern coast of Spain has always been close to my heart - it is an integral part of this story, and is in direct contrast with the fast-paced business world of New York

Norwegian actor Ryan Wiik, 26, is set to star as Ethan Boyd in the international feature film "Without You". The screenplay is also written by Wiik. The film centers on the difficult relationship and conflict between a father, Frank Rose, a wealthy Wall Street icon, and his son Ethan Boyd, an emerging European artist. The role of the father as well as other key parts has yet to be cast.
Renowned director Graeme Clifford is signed to direct the film. His body of work includes directing "Gleaming the Cube", "The Last Don" and the Oscar-nominated film "Frances". Clifford was thrilled to sign on, feeling the story captures the eternal conflict of a man's success at the peak of his career and his failure as a father. He believes it is a film that will move even the toughest audiences. Also attached is famed pianist/composer Michael Joseph Smith who will compose the film score. In addition, Hollywood veteran James Cardwell, former President of Warner Home Video, will serve as Executive Producer, along with Duane Eberlein.
With a budget of $25 million raised from independent financing, "Without You" will be shot on location in Spain and New York. "The southern coast of Spain has always been close to my heart - it is an integral part of this story, and is in direct contrast with the fast-paced business world of New York," remarks Wiik.
Born in Norway, Wiik moved to Spain at age 21, which has now become his second home after Los Angeles. It was in Spain that his acting career began, both starring and co-producing in a slate of short films in Europe, as well as numerous television productions. Wiik made his Hollywood debut in 2007 with A-Mark Entertainment's thriller, "Timber Falls".
Both Wiik and Clifford are represented by attorney Eric Weissmann of Weissmann Wolff Bergman Coleman Grodin & Evall, LLP.
