In December 2007, Gerald Martin and Anita Briggs founded http://www.ClockLord.com, a webstore that specializes in a variety of clocks - both standard and rare. Among them are unique fixtures such as Atomic Digital Wall Clocks, Oblong Pocket Watches and Weather Station Clocks.

Everybody has to have a clock, so it was something that was a necessity that people would need

How Martin and Briggs arrived at selling clocks was only as easy as the notion that people need to tell time. "Everybody has to have a clock, so it was something that was a necessity that people would need," explained Martin.

During these halcyon days for the cell phone (and people increasingly using them for the purpose of telling time), http://www.ClockLord.com harkens back to a time in which you would only have to look to your wrist to tell someone the time.

"We're interested in helping people define accurate time with style," said Martin of the types of clocks and watches his site carries.

In the near year that the site has been around, Martin and Briggs have cultivated a myriad of timepieces - each one fit for various attitudes and aesthetics that make up unique individuals.

As their anniversary rolls around, the duo is expanding their cache. "We're currently adding products and we want the business to grow," said Martin. "We want it to grow to the point where anything you want, you can find. We don't want a cluttered site, but we want one where you can find what you want without all the hassle."

In addition to adding more products, Martin and Briggs have launched http://www.ClockLordBlog.com, an informational blog about clocks. The blog will also feature human interest posts and their relation to clocks and watches.

Martin stresses the importance of customer service and being able to provide quality products at affordable prices. Technology shifts and though the general populous have become reliant on their phones to let them know the time, nothing can ever beat the ease or the class of a watch.
