Ovient English (http://www.ovient.com) today announced the opening of registration for its fall session of professional English training classes. The classes are designed for business professionals seeking to improve their English communication skills in the face of a tightening job market and include training in business networking skills, speaking, presentations and pronunciation. All classes are open to the public.

"While the technology sector has been largely spared in the recent economic downturn, our clients, many of whom work for large technology firms in Silicon Valley, remain uneasy about their job security. For nonnative English speakers in a large organization, improving English language skills is one way to enhance competitiveness in the face of job uncertainty," said Marc Musteric, Ovient English Co-Founder and President.

Ovient English classes differ from traditional ESL (English as a Second Language) courses in their strong focus on the business context and use of authentic materials. Classes are small (4-10 students) and designed specifically for business professionals. The intent is to help participants eliminate skill gaps amid increasing competition for jobs and promotions.

Ovient English offers a variety of training options including Online accent training and customized individual coaching, but classes remain an important part of the curriculum. "We have always emphasized the importance of learning in a group context," said Blythe Musteric, Ovient English Co-Founder and Director of English Services. "Group learning increases participant confidence, which directly impacts communicative competence in the workplace."

Classes offered by Ovient English replicate business situations and the diversity of the contemporary workplace. "Our most recent pronunciation class included professionals from Brazil, China, Egypt, Japan, and Nicaragua," said Blythe Musteric. "The diversity gives the students a unique perspective on their own use of American English."

Classes start the week of September 15, 2008 and will be offered exclusively at Ovient's Sunnyvale, California location. Interested participants can register by calling 408-524-1649. Additional course information and free business English resources are available at http://www.ovient.com.
