Webinar presents technology advances that reduce primary storage utilization and increase operational efficiency.

This webinar will present a five-step best practices approach that looks at the issues driving primary storage needs along with solutions that can be implemented quickly to improve data access while reducing costs.

Permabit Technology Corporation, the industry's leading innovator of scalable, data-reduced storage for enterprise archiving, today announced it will host a free best practices webinar that explores new technology and process that help enterprises reduce primary storage costs while gaining faster and more complete access to primary data. The webinar, Enterprise Archiving: Five Steps to Reduce Primary Storage Costs, will be presented by Mike Ivanov, Vice President of Marketing for Permabit.

"We found through our recent industry survey that 72 percent of organizations have flat to declining IT budgets for primary storage. This contrasts sharply to other reports that the enterprise need for primary storage is increasing dramatically. Storage Magazine found that enterprises will need to expand primary storage by 73TB in 2008, and with an average growth rate of 50% per year, that can result in 110 TB in 2009 and 165 TB in 2010," explained Ivanov. "This webinar will present a five-step best practices approach that looks at the issues driving primary storage needs along with solutions that can be implemented quickly to improve data access while reducing costs."

The two free webinars will take place on Tuesday, August 26 and September 9, 2008 at 1 p.m. EDT. All attendees will receive a copy of the presentation, along with a comprehensive white paper and a free 1GB USB Drive storage.
