A visual edge helps Digital Creative Agency earn highest honor for LA Philharmonic Virtual Tour, one of eight Telly Awards it garnered

These awards will show others what our clients learned first hand.

The Buddy Group (TBG) recently announced it attained a Silver Telly Award statuette, the highest honor in the Public Relations category, for a Virtual Tour of the L.A. Philharmonic. The accolade was one of three Telly Awards the Orange County-based Digital Creative Agency earned at the 29th Annual Telly Awards for virtual tours of local entertainment venues. TBG proved the value of these key interactive pieces for both clients and consumers.

"Virtual Tours help develop a greater understanding of facilities, capabilities and personality," TBG CEO and Founder Pete Deutschman said. "When well thought-out and executed it deepens interest in a product, service and/or brand which is a core focus of our business."

TBG has been entrenched in the Entertainment Industry since it opened its doors in 2005. Several key staff members hold strong ties to Hollywood, Broadway and all show stoppers in between. A pioneer for avenues of consumer engagement, TBG continues to foster innovation for entertainment websites. A quality virtual tour that dazzles, informs and entices interaction is just one of the means TBG developed to improve overall user experience and satisfaction. It is also the first to be honored on a national level.

In addition to the Silver Award, TBG also earned a Bronze in the Copywriting category for the LA Phil Virtual Tour. TBG's work on the Orange County Performing Arts Center Virtual Tour was awarded a Bronze in the Public Relations category. The trio of honors showcase the value of an often under utilized form of online marketing.

"Seeing how our hard work is received by both website visitors and leaders in the online industry is quite rewarding," said Deutschman. "These awards will show others what our clients learned first hand."

Such accolades solidify TBG's sister company, DotLot™ Digital Studios (http://www.dotlot.com)], as major player in online video production. Nearly half of TBG's 16,000 square foot facility in Irvine, California is home to its cutting-edge sibling. This in-house differentiator sets The Buddy Group apart from the competition. Virtual tours of entertainment venues are proving to be critical at a time when video content is quickly establishing itself as the most effective way to engage and educate consumers online.

The remaining Telly Award statuettes awarded to TBG includes (category listed next to project):

  •     DotLot Video Walkthrough - Production Company/Ad Agency
  •     Johnny Money Game Demo - Education
  •     Digital Insight - Corporate Image
  •     Digital Insight - Use of Graphics
  •     WhyHighlander.com - Automotive

The Buddy Group, which is often referred to as The Agency's Agency™, has earned a total of 11 Telly Awards throughout the last two years including three from the 28th Annual Telly Awards. The Telly Awards honor the very best finest video and film productions as well as work created for the Web. It is widely considered to be one of the most prestigious awards in advertising and video and film production.
