Mobile Metrics Releases Version 4.0 of Torrent 7100 WiMAXTM Test System
Mobile Metrics announced the immediate availability of graphical tracing capabilities and other significant enhancements to the world's first commercial test system for WiMAXTM ASN Gateways and CSNs, the Torrent 7100 WTS. With the 4.0 release, the Torrent 7100 sets a new tracing standard to enable fast, accurate debugging. The 4.0 version of the 7100 also introduces high numbers of service flows, VLAN support and more.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) August 24, 2008 -- Mobile Metrics announced the immediate availability of graphical tracing capabilities and other significant enhancements to the world's first commercial test system for WiMAXTM ASN Gateways and CSNs, the Torrent 7100 WTS. With the 4.0 release, the Torrent 7100 sets a new tracing standard to enable fast, accurate debugging. The 4.0 version of the 7100 also introduces high numbers of service flows, VLAN support and more.
The Torrent 7100 provides traffic and conformance testing of the ASN (Access Service Network) Gateway and the CSN (Connectivity Service Network), focusing on the R6, R4 and R3 interfaces. Meanwhile, the Torrent 7200 tests WiMAX Base Stations, Mobile Stations and end-to-end networks over the R1 interface.
The Torrent 7100 WTS 4.0 release is focused on extending system capabilities and enhancing usability. The 4.0 release includes the following capabilities:

- Certificate provisioning from the GUI

- Ability of CSN-7100 to emulate behavior of certain brands of CSNs
- Ability of CSN-7100 to support certain mobile brands
- Other enhancements to adjust to evolving standards, extend coverage of optional parts of the standards, and enhance usability.
