iHealthSpot announces the launch of its library of interactive patient education videos complete with 3D animations for orthopedics and physical therapy. This new interactive content will enhance the robust written and illustrated library that is available to all of the company's medical practice website clients.

With the launch of the interactive content, iHealthspot advances as a leader in the online patient education space. A two-time award winner for its written and illustrated library of more than 1,000 conditions across 40 specialties in 2007, the company continues to build on its unique offerings for physician, physical therapy and dental practices.

The current interactive video library includes 35 conditions and treatments for orthopedics and physical therapy. The videos are 3-4 minutes in length and include detailed visual information on causes, symptoms, surgical and non-surgical treatments and rehabilitation for each condition in easy to understand language. The company anticipates 50-60 total videos in the orthopedics and physical therapy specialty with dental and cosmetic surgery videos coming next and eventually will have a library covering all medical specialties. The content has been developed entirely in-house using the most detailed 3D model of the human anatomy available today.

Steve E. Meadows, MD, CMO and board certified orthopedic surgeon who directed the effort, commented, "We are very excited about launching the interactive video content for orthopedics and physical therapy. Our goal is to help physicians and therapists to better educate their patients through the interactive content on their websites. The content has been very well received in the marketplace and we are looking forward to rolling out the other specialties with this great content."

The library comes complete with a new interface which includes a male or female body which allows for clicking and filtering of conditions by body part. The patient then has access to a written article, an illustration and a video to watch. The content lives right inside the physician website and takes on its look and feel providing a completely seamless experience for the patient.

iHealthSpot can provide the content as part of a full website package or can license and deliver it to an existing website. The company can have the content live on an existing website within three days and its fees are very affordable at $350 one time set up and the ongoing license fee of just $99 per month.
