National Safety, Inc is delighted to announce the launch of their totally redesigned website for the online purchase of safety supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) at National Safety, Inc. has been in the safety market for 14 years, selling safety glasses, raingear, flame retardant clothing, fall protection, first aid, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, confined space equipment, ergonomics, fire safety and more to individuals as well as Business to Business.

The new site brings the Web 2.0 experience to National Safety customers with many new features and many expanded features. Users will be able to get live help through the online chat right on the website starting in September 2008. The "Rate this product" feature will allow users to provide feedback as well as being able to view ratings by other users to determine the product that suits their needs best. They will be able to sign up for the bi-monthly newsletter, request a catalog and much more.

"Safety is something that is best lived out in community" says Cindy Parker who helps customers both online and over the phone "Solutions that one customer has found might help someone else, products that they have found beneficial for a certain application will probably work for someone else as well. We want to provide a place where users not only purchase a fall protection harness but also help someone else who might need to purchase a similar item."

The web developers at Eporia, the Kirkland-based company responsible for the redesign, worked closely with National Safety, Inc. to enhance the site's usability and navigation. In addition to the ecommerce shopping cart, will also be expanding its database of technical articles and safety related information striving to become a complete source, not only for products but also for pertinent information.
National Safety continues to strive to be customer friendly, "We want to be the easiest and the friendliest company to deal with" says Jeff Johnson, the operations manager; "this means coffee and friendly service when you walk in the door of our facility and it means striving to make the online experience as hassle-free and interactive as possible for our online customers."

Founded in 1995 National Safety, Inc. began over a cup of coffee between the general manager and four salesmen from Rice Safety. Rice Safety had just been purchased by a large industrial supplier. These five founders believed that their expertise was in personal protective equipment so they set out to form a company that would concentrate exclusively on safety equipment. Over the years two of the shareholders were bought out leaving the present owners and one retired leaving Dick Zugschwerdt and Ron Johnson as the present owned.

National Safety, Inc. continues to operate its business on the basis of its experience in the safety field.
