ActiveXperts Released ActiveEmail E-mail Toolkit 3.1

ActiveXperts Software released version 3.1 of its ActiveEmail software development component. New are: support for incoming POP3 e-mail receiving, support for incoming/outgoing Unicode e-mail messages, support for foreign character sets, support for a several authentication methods, full support for Windows Vista SP1, extended logging capabilities, enhanced VB .NET samples, enhanced C# .NET samples, enhanced ASP .NET samples, enhanced Borland Delphi samples.

(PRWEB) August 28, 2008 -- ActiveXperts Software today released a new version of its ActiveEmail E-mail Toolkit product. ActiveEmail provides an easy-to-use programming interface to SMTP- and POP3 email communications. It's perfectly suited for situations in which e-mails need to be sent/received automatically, in batches, from custom applications, webservers, or from the command-line.

ActiveEmail now supports POP3 to enable receiving e-mail messages from any POP3 mail server. It also support Unicode formatted messages to allow foreign character sets, including Arabic (iso-8859-6), Japanese (iso-2022-jp) and Chinese (big5).

ActiveEmail now supports several authentication mechanisms. By default, ActiveEmail uses auto-detection to negotiate an authentication mechanism. You can also force ActiveEmail to use a specific authentication mechanism. This applies to SMTP and POP3. Among the supported authentication methods are: auto detect (default), AUTH-PLAIN authentication, AUTH-LOGIN authentication and AUTH-CRAM-MD5 authentication.

The toolkit ships as an ActiveX software DLL component. It is a true SDK (software development component), designed to be integrated into Visual Basic .NET, Visual C# .NET, ASP .NET, Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Borland Delphi, Java, PHP and other programming environments.

All .NET samples are now created in Visual Studio 2005, whereas samples in previous versions were created in Visual Studio 2002. The .NET target framework is 2.0.
