New York, NY (PRWEB) August 27, 2008 -
International Biometric Group (IBG) is pleased to announce its upcoming webcast: Quantitative Research on Fingerprint Friction Ridge Patterns: Level III Features Analysis, being held this Thursday, August 28th, at 1 pm EST. This webcast is designed for those with a background understanding of fingerprint analysis.
As the cost of high-resolution fingerprint scanners drops, matching software will increasingly take advantage of the micro-features formerly utilized only by forensic examiners. This discussion will encompass the extraction and matching of Level III fingerprint features and how such micro-feature data may be incorporated into a high-confidence biometric system. IBG Consultant Michael Chaberski will spend 30 minutes discussing Level III feature analysis, including:
- Feature Extraction
- Feature Quality Metrics
- Performance Evaluation
- Conclusions and Recommendations
