Hat Life Launches First Annual Hatty Awards For Industry Achievement

Hat Life International is now fielding nominations. The winners, honored for their groundbreaking achievement in the headwear industry, will be featured in the 2009 Hat Life Directory.

With so many people in the headwear business leading the curve with trends, textile development, design and business strategy, we decided it was time to honor that fountain of innovation

Hat Life International, the world's eldest and most respected resource for the headwear industry, will honor the greats of the headwear business with the first annual Hatty Awards. Industry insiders will have until September 30th to submit nominations for the most influential and groundbreaking people in the headwear sphere, with winners profiled in the company's much-anticipated 2009 resource guide.

"With so many people in the headwear business leading the curve with trends, textile development, design and business strategy, we decided it was time to honor that fountain of innovation," says Diane Feen, editor of Hat Life International. "This is just the first award of many, and we look forward to shining the spotlight on the best minds in the business."

Submissions for the Hatty Awards can focus on any person or entity in the headwear business, from bloggers and designers to suppliers and retailers. The winners, chosen by the Hat Life editorial team, will be featured in the company's promotional campaign, as well as the 2009 Hat Life International Directory, in a special, high-profile section solely dedicated to industry achievers. As part of the submission process, companies and individuals can nominate themselves for an award, or they can nominate someone else. All nominations can be submitted via the Hat Life Website and must be in by midnight, September 30, 2008.
