SiteAssist Professional Enables Users to Build CSS Sites with Navigation in Minutes

WebAssist revolutionizes best-selling SiteAssist product to deliver powerful, flexible website tool for web developers

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) August 27, 2008 -- WebAssist today announced SiteAssist Professional, the next evolution of their best-selling SiteAssist product. SiteAssist Professional provides incredible new functionalities to build entire CSS-based sites, complete with navigation and personal customization to pages, in just minutes.

Web professionals continue to embrace the power of CSS in their development, but are still encumbered by the time and process inherent with it. To solve the challenge of creating smooth-flowing sites, SiteAssist Professional walks web designers and developers through the building of a CSS site from beginning to end, allowing them to build CSS sites easily and without the hurdles.

SiteAssist Professional delivers web standards compliance and expertly designed and full-featured web pages, integrated with drop-down navigation for easy web site creation, publishing, and highly-flexible customization options. In addition to the 16 included expertly-crafted layouts, SiteAssist Professional users can use designs created in Eric Meyer's CSS Sculptor, a WebAssist extension for Adobe Dreamweaver and Microsoft Expression Web, or from their own Dreamweaver templates.

For the first time, web developers can also create and customize their pages to include Spry or other JavaScript framework components within the template, while also taking advantage of support for standard Dreamweaver templates, CSS Sculptor layouts, and CSS Menu Writer navigation. All CSS templates within the SiteAssist Professional library are customizable, eliminating the "cookie-cutter" look and the need to start from scratch for professionals. Even beginners can enjoy a customized, professional look without the obstacles or learning curve.

"CSS is, undeniably, one of the most efficient and flexible ways to build sites today, but it isn't without its limitations," said Hieu Bui, President, WebAssist. "SiteAssist Professional seeks to help developers, both professional and beginner alike, harness the power of CSS easily and utilize their resources more effectively with customization of templates and easy navigation options."

The SiteAssist wizard makes site creation point-and-click simple. In the wizard, SiteAssist users first select from a variety of industry-specific Web site structures including those for clubs or associations, consultants, education, medical professionals, non-profits and real estate. A full range of layouts, fonts, color and navigations are available in the second step of the wizard; users are free to mix-and-match to create their unique designs. Page layouts are assigned in the next step: a complete slate of page types, also known as information architecture wireframes, is included. Entire new branches of the site can be added with the click of a mouse. After the site is created, it can be modified for complete customization directly within Dreamweaver.

New Features in SiteAssist Professional include:

  • Totally new engine - rebuilt from the ground up
  • Web-standards compliant, CSS-based layouts
  • CSS-based drop-down and fly-out navigation

  • Compatible with Dreamweaver templates
  • New templates included, 14 in all
  • 16 different site types included

  • Integrates with Eric Meyer's CSS Sculptor
  • Supports CSS Menu Writer
  • Imports custom page types

SiteAssist Professional is compatible with Dreamweaver CS3 and Dreamweaver 8 on both Windows and Macintosh platforms. SiteAssist Professional retails for $199.99, but is available for $149.99 as a special introductory price until September 9, 2008 directly from WebAssist.
