New York (PRWEB) August 30, 2008
Ultraflex Power Technologies is announcing the release of a new innovative product aimed for fast and reliable assembly and disassembly of golf shafts and club heads. It can be used in both, manufacturing and repair of golf clubs.
The new products named EasyClub™ uses the latest in the induction heating technology to provide (induce) heat in the golf club hosel for either :
- curing epoxy for assembly purpose
- break the epoxied joint for disassembly purpose
The main advantages of the new product are:
- Provides consistent high strength bond
- Creates bond in less than 15 seconds
- Minimizes or eliminates damage to the outside coating of the shaft and the hosel
- Simplifies bond breaking for shaft replacement
- Works with 115 Volt or 220/230 Volt 50/60 Hz supply
"The EasyClub is a must for any professional club maker, in my 26 years as a club builder I have not found a product more useful than the EasyClub. "said Woody Lashen, partner, Pete's Custom Golf Shop, Minneola, New York
EasyClub™ was developed to address the disadvantages the most present methods of creating heat in the junction using either hot air blowers or a propane torch. These methods require considerable time and operator's skill and have the potential to severely affect the appearance of the finish.
The induction heating method generates heat, directly in the metal or graphite, under the finish or coating and is much less likely to affect the appearance of the joint. Electronic control offers much shorter heating time and excellent repeatability.
In the assembly process it allows the operator to closely watch the joint for indication of epoxy being melted, thus controlling the melted epoxy from over-melting and flowing outside onto the shaft. As a result, cleaning process is significantly reduced or completely avoided.
Mitch Voges, founder, Max Out Golf, CA states:
"There's no question the EasyClub system belongs in every serious club repair facility. It saves a lot of time and eliminates the old fashion and potentially dangerous blow torch. The EasyClub system also greatly enhances the ability to safely pull and re-use graphite shafts for those customers who want to put another head on their favorite shaft. Simply put, it is safer, quicker, and ultimately more economical to use than any other method."
The system consists of a 1.2 kW Power Supply and the Heating Head connected via 6 ft long flexible leads. The head weighs 2.8 pounds and is ergonomically designed for portability and easy operation. The power supply can be plugged into 115 Volt or 230 Volt single phase 50/60 Hz line. It has carrying handle and it weighs only 14.5 pounds (6.6 kg). It can operate from the control panel or footswitch.
Power supplies with CE rating, using PFC (power factor correction) are available.
