A new website begins its campaign to educate millions on a commonly under diagnosed autoimmune disease known as Celiac disease that afflicts 1 in 133 Americans. Researchers estimate that only 3% of sufferers are ever diagnosed by a physician.

Gluten-Answers.com not only educates visitors on the disease, but provides valuable information on how to properly screen and avoid foods that contain gluten (the protein that triggers severe symptoms in Celiacs) through videos, audio interviews with medical experts, research articles, and downloadable guides.

"It is hoped that through the education of physicians, nurses, dieticians, pharmacist, and the public, there will be an increased responsiveness to the signs and symptoms of the undiagnosed and untreated celiac patient," says Dr. Michelle Pietzak, M.D., Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.

Gluten-Answers.com was founded in 2008 and is dedicated to educating the world on Celiac disease and gluten sensitivity. The website is a subsidiary of IMD, LLC, an Orlando-based Internet publisher.
