Emceed by popular local TV personality Dave Kelly, i-Technology 2008 provided attendees with innovative perspectives on changing influences in business culture, corporate leadership, and technology. The inspirational keynote presentations were followed by the impactful recollections of former NHL goalie and award-winning hockey analyst Kelly Hrudey. An Exhibitor Showcase allowed attendees to connect with representatives from other top industry vendors including NetApp, Cisco, Microsoft, Google, Akorri, Axia, VMware, and Symantec.

This new and distinctive executive seminar series opens a window into the changing influences on today's business culture and how they relate to technological as well as personnel resources now and into the future. It brings together industry leaders addressing a range of issues that speak to the heart of business and IT operations, including the alignment of technology products, services, and strategies, and how they relate to key performance metrics and marketplace trends.

i-Technology 2008 is already being lauded as a watershed event in the regional technology industry and the response has been nothing less than stellar:

"i-Technology 2008 was an intriguing experience combining customers, technology, knowledge and entertainment," said David Chow, Segment Marketing Manager, Enterprise Marketing, Microsoft Canada Co.

"NetApp was honored to be the primary sponsor of Long View Systems' inaugural i-Technology event. Despite our confidence of Long View's presence in the Western Canada market, and their ability to execute as a top tier high-tech marketing machine, we were nonetheless stunned by the size, scope and success of the event; the operation was flawless…Long View had already established themselves as NetApp's leading VAR and Systems Integrator in Canada. This event has catapulted them into the realm of true market makers and market leaders. We are honored to be associated with Long View and offer our sincere compliments to them in pulling off the region's high-tech event of the year," said Al Danza, Channel Director East and Canada, NetApp.

"We have just been very pleased with the response to this event. The fact that over 1100 people attended this event is proof enough that there is a strong desire in the region for more events of this scope and focus. Additionally, we've received tremendously positive feedback from all of our sponsors and manufacturing partners. They consistently testified to the unique nature of i-Technology and the strong value it provided in terms of networking opportunities and bringing exposure to their various technology solutions. I really believe that this event will be seen as a benchmark by everyone in the region and we couldn't be happier with its success," said Souzan Basmahjian, Marketing Manager, Long View Systems.

"i-Technology 2008 has presented us with a distinct opportunity, not only for Long View to step out into the Calgary business and IT community, but for that community to connect in a way we haven't seen in the past. This event provided the stage for visionary leaders of industry to make a direct impact on the Western Canadian IT market, inspiring attendees with a roadmap designed to bring business departments and technical personnel into a stronger and more effective working relationship.

Moreover, our industry partners were able to connect with their primary audience, sharing their latest technology products and services while collaboratively evaluating the trends that will take us into the future in both the near and long term. We're very excited by the response to i-Technology and confident that Long View will continue to point the way forward for the industry," said Dan Sottile, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, Long View Systems.
