London-based Seskimo launches the BatRest, the only stand for the iPhone 3G which folds flat to the size of a credit card to fit in your wallet. The BatRest can be taken anywhere and allows iPhone users to watch videos in landscape format without holding the iPhone with their hands. It is available in three colours: black, white, and translucent. The iPhone is not supplied with a portable stand and the BatRest is designed to allow iPhone users to watch videos in landscape format without holding the iPhone with their hands. Shaped like a bat for mainly functional reasons, the dimensions of the BatRest iPhone stand, when folded flat, are those of a credit card (85mm x 54mm). It fits in the credit card slot of a wallet making it easy to put away, and, more importantly, because small things are so easy to lose, very easy to find. It will also slip easily into many iPhone cases.
The angle at which the iPhone leans back can be adjusted between about 0 and 30 degrees from vertical by opening or closing the arms of the BatRest.
Easily strong enough to support the iPhone, the BatRest is made from durable polypropylene which, being semi-flexible, will not permanently deform like aluminium, or snap like more brittle plastics.
