Newt's Playing Cards has released two political decks of cards that have been published for the "Wild" Election Race to November. They have published one deck for supporters of John McCain and another deck for supporters of Barack Obama. Both decks feature political celebrities, politicians and hot political issues drawn with either the body of a wild animal or in a wild scene. With this being such a wild political race from the primaries until now, what could be more appropriate and fun.
These Politically Wild decks of cards offer a unique look into the world of politics. For example, Senator McCain is drawn as a Skunk, Dinosaur and Horse while Senator Obama is drawn as an Ostrich, Jaguar, and Baby Boomer. This deck, also includes other politicians and political celebrities on the numbered card faces, while the court cards have various issues, such as: abortion, immigration, gun control, etc. The deck deals with real issues that are already being addressed during this election cycle.
Over the past several years playing cards have made a huge surge in popularity. "It is the hope of Newt's Playing Cards that a fun deck of political playing cards, like Politically Wild, will catch people's attention and get them to take a more active interest in politics," says James Esteph, owner of NewtsGames.com. "Hopefully, the Politically Wild deck will get more people interested in not only the important issues that effect the American people today, but also get more voters to the polls."
Another fun fact about the Politically Wild playing cards is that they are interactive. Newt's Playing Cards has encouraged people to post comments about the different cards on their website, http://www.PoliticallyWild.com. The different posts were then voted on by Newt's Playing Cards employees as to which ones were the most appropriate for each card. Viewers are still encouraged to leave posts that may be used in future Politically Wild editions.
This Politically Wild deck of playing cards uses hilarious drawings of political figures and scenes of important issues to get people excited about voting again. No animals, politicians, and/or political figures were harmed in the making of this Politically Wild deck.
