We went through lists of products until we found a line that we were comfortable with
Portland, OR (PRWEB) September 4, 2008
When friends Julia Harris and Jocelyn Park-Gillespie thought of going into business together, they didn't opt for a typical money-making extravaganza, but rather thought of the needs of others.
"We wanted to enrich our lives, of course," said Harris, "but we wanted to be able to help others - our children, our grandchildren and our church - and that is the reason we started our business together.
Harris and Park-Gillespie's store, http://www.PrettyOnYouUnderwear.com, is not a shop that has tart-y lingerie, but represents a style that is sophisticated and timeless. The duo handpicks the items themselves to ensure that they are selling something that is of the highest quality.
"We went through lists of products until we found a line that we were comfortable with," Harris explained. "We found it to be very appealing and we thought our customers would feel the same."
Pretty On You Underwear's secret success, however, lies in the fact that even those closest to the ladies wouldn't have expected the type of business that they founded. "People expected us to sell pet supplies or something like that, certainly not luxurious underwear," said Harris. "What we like best is that we are really stepping outside of the box."
In addition to their new online store, the duo has also launched a companion blog, http://www.PrettyOnYouWomensUnderwearBlog.com. "We're going to use our blog to inform and relay information about our product line and to introduce new ideas and designs as they enter our marketplace," said Harris, "We would like to help educate people about the quality and comfort they will experience while wearing really well-made underwear."
For Harris and Park-Gillespie, a lingerie business may seem like a bit unorthodox, but it's their desire to share their joys of their product with the rest of the world.
"We know ourselves how we feel when we wear our product and how well our product fits," explained Harris. "It's our goal to help women feel stronger, more confident and beautiful in their daily lives by adding our line of high quality, well-fitting underwear to their wardrobe."
