Best of Citysearch/Editor's Choice
Boston, MA (PRWEB) September 3, 2008
South End-based Bodyworkers of Boston announced today that it will be holding an appreciation party September 25, 2008 to recognize three "Best of" awards received by its therapists and to thank its clients for their support.
Members of the massage, alternative health, and skincare collaborative will be on hand at their 530 Tremont St. studio with refreshments (beer, wine, soft drinks, and appetizers), massage chairs, self-care advice, product samples, and discounts from 6-9 pm. All are welcome, including current clients, neighbors, and the general public. Assessments for common injuries such as tendinitis and low back strains will also be provided.
Bodyworkers of Boston has been a South End staple since the 1990's but decided to throw a party now on the heels of several "Best of" awards, and to mark its second year in its new location. Its member businesses (listed below) strive to offer bodywork that is more therapeutic and accessible, in contrast to pampering and luxury focus of surrounding spas.
Massage therapist Craig Faucher and owner of CDF Therapeutic Bodywork was named "Best of Citysearch/Editor's Choice" by the website for its Boston Massage category. This year marks the third consecutive year he was also voted onto the Top 10 Boston Massage list by Citysearch.com members. Craig specializes in clinical, orthopedic, and sports massages, helping clients to recover from injury and other specific conditions. He opened his practice (also operating as "Craig Faucher Massage Therapy") six years ago and has since hired several part-time therapists to help with demand.
Craig trained extensively with leaders in the orthopedic massage field and currently works closely his client's chiropractors, physical therapists, and doctors in planning their treatments. He will be providing injury and repetitive strain assessments during the party. http://www.craigfauchermassage.com.
Massage therapist and skincare specialist Natalie Maibenko was named "Boston's Best Massage Therapist" for the second consecutive year by Improper Bostonian and "All Stars Winner 2008" by Citysquares.com. Natalie provides massage and skin care under her business name, Unique Verve, and joined Bodyworkers in 2007. http://www.uniqueverve.com.
Corrective and anti-aging skin care specialist Brad Duncan of Brad Duncan Skin Care was named "Best of Boston" Facial 2008 by Boston Magazine. Shortly after relocating from Southern California, Brad was voted "Boston's Best" Facial 2007 by the Improper Bostonian. Brad is an Epicuren-certified skin care specialist who has received extensive training in enzyme-based corrective and anti-aging skin care treatments from leaders in the field during his 14-year career. http://www.bradduncanskincare.com
"I know we're all honored to be chosen by the respective editors, readers and members of these publications and websites," said Faucher. "It sends a message to Bostonians that they have options (outside of the conventional spa treatments) when they are in pain or just want to take care of themselves. It gives a chance to have some fun and celebrate too, which is never a bad thing."
Other therapists who will be in attendance at the party include: Bob Bruillard, Bodyworkers founder; Tim Medas (Absolute Karma Massage and Waxing for Men); and acupuncturist Terry Connell (East Meets East).
