TAPC announces long-time member, Whitaker, as new board president.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) September 5, 2008 -- Bruce Whitaker, President of Whitaker Companies, was named 2008-2009 Texas Association of Personnel Consultants' (TAPC) new board President.

TAPC is a professional trade association dedicated to promoting the highest standards of business practices as well as offering state of the art educational programs for members within the staffing industry.

TAPC is home to hundreds of members ranging from independent and sole proprietors to large regional and national firms that join together to network, share resources, socialize and provide strength in numbers.

Bruce Whitaker began his career as a technical recruiter in 1968 - working with the largest firm in the search industry. He advanced to manager of one of the company's top offices. In 1983 Whitaker departed that company to establish his own, Whitaker Companies, which is recognized today as one of the nation's most respected names in professional recruiting.
