By integrating AccuRoute along with nQueue, Baker & Daniels is able to get the full power of AccuRoute, but with the added capabilities, higher adoption rates, more productivity and reduced risk
Tempe Arizona (PRWEB) September 5, 2008
nQueue, Inc., the leading provider of integrated cost recovery software, congratulates its long-standing client Baker & Daniels on winning one of four coveted "Drive for Innovation" awards, presented by Omtool. The award recognizes the firm for its pioneering ideas in the use of Omtool's AccuRoute by integrating AccuRoute functionality directly into the cost recovery system. The panel of industry experts who selected the award winners further recognized Baker & Daniels as the first to integrate this functionality into the cost recovery system by combining AccuRoute's document handling platform with nQueue's information accountability and cost recovery software.
The firm implemented AccuRoute to streamline its scanning process and intake into their Document Management System. The addition of incorporating AccuRoute functionality into nQueue was to reduce training time, make the roll-out faster and increase user adoption. "Before this project, we had PC-based scanners on every floor, using software that scans documents directly into our DMS. A user had to walk to that computer, log in, scan the document, close out of application, log out, go back to his/her desk and deal with the document in the DMS," said Katrina Dittmer, Practice Support Manager at Baker & Daniels "Our tight integration of AccuRoute with nQueue now allows us to create procedures 'on-the-fly' right at the device and automatically route scanned documents however desired."
With nQueue's Quickscan screen, attorneys and paralegals can easily scan any document in either Word or PDF format into the firm's document management system or a network drive. Quickscan works in multiple-choice format -- users can decide what to do directly from the MFD's single touch screen. Baker & Daniels users can walk up to the MFD, choose one of three or four simple choices and can get the full power of AccuRoute without the need for a printed coversheet.
"Conventional wisdom is that firms must either have a system that does not use workflows at all or a system that forces users to return do their desks and create a workflow for everything they scan," said John Gilbert, Vice President of Sales at nQueue. "Incorporating nQueue with AccuRoute creates a scanning environment that offers the best of both worlds." The integration provides the functionality for firms to allow their users to walk up to an MFD and choose to:
•Use a bar code cover sheet
•Look up an embedded directive---right at the MFD
•Perform a one-time scan using nQueue's Quick Scan screen
Implementing AccuRoute along with nQueue's Quickscan has provided the firm with a number of quantifiable benefits, including increased productivity and document control. "Enabling our document management system to capture all of our documents, including scans is efficient while mitigating document-related risk." said Sue Stephenson, Baker & Daniels' Chief Information Officer. "The nQueue/AccuRoute integration helps us do both easily."
"By integrating AccuRoute along with nQueue, Baker & Daniels is able to get the full power of AccuRoute, but with the added capabilities, higher adoption rates, more productivity and reduced risk," said Rick Hellers, nQueue's President and COO. "We congratulate them on their success and on their Drive for Innovation award."
nQueue also congratulates its client, Burnham Brown of Oakland California, who also received an Honorable Mention for their integration of nQueue and AccuRoute. The winners of the 2008 Drive for Innovation Awards were chosen through a blind review process by a panel of outside industry experts.
