Vivian L. Mora, former Vice-President of Human Resources and Administration, left the Houston Rockets in June 2008 to launch search and consulting firm, Mora & Associates. Mrs. Mora has served as Vice-President since 2004 and has been employed by the organization for seven and a half years.

Mora & Associates is a woman-owned and operated human resource professional search and consulting firm. The managing partner has 15 years of human resources experience with notable for-profit organizations in both the public and private sector including Entergy Corporation, HEB Grocery Company, and Houston's Toyota Center; all noted for progressive human resource practices.

The mission of the firm is to "close the gap between business operations and HR strategy by matching your organization with the perfect-for-you HR professional," said Mora. "At the firm, we seek out highly talented, strategically-oriented degreed HR professionals. Most of our candidates are certified in Human Resources. This generation of HR professionals are shaping corporate strategy and creating business value through HR services geared towards addressing corporate challenges."

Mora is a graduate of Jackson State University and holds a masters from the University of Mississippi. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). An active member of the community and life-long volunteer, she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and participates in several community organizations including Rotary International and United Way's Women's Initiative. She is married to civil engineer, Alfonso Mora, and has a daughter, Victoria.
