Army Taps VISTA for Additional Support in Managing Real Property Assets - Contract Modifications to Improve Shared Data Collection and Analysis Capabilities Across the U.S. Army

The combined value of these contract modifications is nearly $650,000, and include IT support for ongoing Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) and Real Property Planning System (RPLANS) efforts.

One award funds additional work on the Army Real Property Planning and Analysis System (RPLANS), a tool that enables Army users to share correlated data about real property assets, installation force structure and populations, and facility allowances and requirements. VISTA analysts will complete a number of key improvements, including integrating Army Installation Status Reports (ISR) into RPLANS to assign facility condition assessment ratings, which ultimately help master planners make better-informed stationing decisions; and improved Army Reserve and Army National Guard stationing ability through updated algorithms and "what if" projection capabilities, to name a few.

The work resulting from the recent contract modification will provide users with additional capabilities to improve the office's obligation and disbursement rates.
