Personal Chefs Network Announces a Very Special Guest for Charleston Symposium

USPCA President Chef Gail Kenagy will participate in the Symposium in Charleston, South Carolina.

The Woodlands, Texas (PRWEB) September 8, 2008 -- Personal Chefs Network announces a very special guest and agenda addition for the October Personal Chef Symposium.

Joining PCN CEO Sharon Worster and PCN President Brent Evans on Wednesday, October 15th for a round table discussion on the future of the personal chef industry will be USPCA President Gail Kenagy. Even though they are still competitors Gail, Sharon and Brent will discuss ways to work together to promote the entire Personal Chef industry as well as the members of their respective organizations. This is the first time that the leaders of the Personal Chef training and support groups have met for the benefit of all Personal Chefs, and this session promises to be an eye-opener.

Currently scheduled speakers include Chef Anne Willan, founder of La Varenne cooking school in Paris, Chef Denise Vivaldo of Food Fanatics and Chef Mike Monahan of ChefsUSA.

Keynote Speaker on Friday October 17th will be Chef Michael Ruhlman, freelance journalist and writer, the author of eight books and co-author of four cookbooks. His works include The Making of a Chef, The Soul of a Chef and The French Laundry Cookbook. He has been a judge on the "Next Iron Chef" and on "Iron Chef America" as well as a featured guest on the Travel Channel's Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations," Las Vegas and Cleveland episodes.

Other expert speakers include Kathleen Purvis, editor, writer and columnist for the Charlotte, NC Observer, who will speak on 'Working With The Press' and Registered Dietitian Charlotte Caperton-Kilburn on 'Working With A Dietitian.'

Evans said, "Some non-members have expressed an interest in attending single days, and we have added that option for Wednesday October 15th, Thursday the 16th and Friday the 17th. Details are available on the PCN site and by calling either Sharon or me."
