Jay P. Granat, Ph.D., Psychotherapist and Founder of StayInTheZone.com has counseled athletes and parents of athletes from virtually every sport since 1985. He has been featured in The New York Times, Good Morning America, ESPN, Tennis Magazine and the BBC.

"Every day, I get calls from athletes, parents and coaches who want to improve performance. The callers tend to be frustrated, lacking in confidence, choking, stuck in a slump or losing to players they should beat.

I teach them how to be calm, focused, confident and optimistic. I show them what they need to do get into the zone," says Dr. Granat.

"Many of these athletes can be helped with the right kind of guidance, confidence building and mental training. I work closely with athletes, coaches and parents to get them on the right path. We have counseling sessions, they read my books and listen to my programs. Great champions train their minds as much as they do their bodies," according to Granat.

"Over the years, I have helped athletes from almost every sport. I have even counseled rodeo cowboys."

Dr. Granat lives in River Vale, New Jersey and has his offices in River Edge, New Jersey.

Golf Digest named Granat one of America's Top Ten Mental Gurus. He has lectured on peak performance at Fortune 500 corporations including Hyatt, Schering Plough and Paine Webber.
