As hurricane Ike looks to unleash on the East Coast of South Florida and preparations are being made for possible evacuations, one private jet charter company is again taking a proactive approach to the impending mega storm. Imperial Jets, a private jet charter brokerage company out of the Empire State Building in New York City has set up a 24 hour hotline to assist those that are looking to evacuate areas in harm's way.

According to the company, Imperial Jets has assigned a team to be available 24 hours a day to take calls and assist evacuees as the storm runs its course. The hurricane Ike computer models have positioned its projected path to travel over the Leeward Islands and barrel towards the coast of South Florida by Tuesday with projected winds in excess of 145mph.

Ike currently has sustained winds of 110mph, and is expected to strengthen as it moves closer to Florida over the weekend. Imperial Jets can arrange for appropriate transportation in very short order; however residents are urged to take advanced precaution and reserve their evacuation lift in advance as much as possible.
