Auto/Mate Dealership Systems Announces 25% Growth in New Clients

Auto/Mate Dealership Systems announced today a 25% growth in new auto dealer clients during the first half of the year. The rise in new business reflects an increasing demand for robust Dealership Management Systems (DMS) that can be purchased and paid for on a month-to-month basis, eliminating the need for lengthy contracts that often contain hidden charges for new modules, excessive third party DMS integration expenses and mandatory upgrade fees.

Over the years we've continued to expand on that theme by adding increased functionality and power without losing the system's basic simplicity and ease of operation.

"Changing market conditions are prompting many dealers to look for alternatives to their expensive, legacy DMS systems," said Mike Esposito, president of Auto/Mate. "With Auto/Mate's Automotive Management Productivity Suite, dealers get 100% of the DMS tools they need to effectively manage their retail operations, with no long term contact commitments that escalate costs year after year."

Auto/Mate was developed by technology savvy Wang Laboratories during the 1970s, when almost two-thirds of the nation's dealerships ran their business using a Wang computer. Auto/Mate was one of computer pioneer's first ventures into vertical market software development, and the first F&I system in the country built exclusively for auto dealers.

Steve Fullum, the software's developer, acquired the rights to the system in the early 1990s, and began marketing and selling the product directly to dealers while continuing development work on the system.

Today, Auto/Mate has 75 employees and a customer base of over 500 dealerships nationwide. Many Auto/Mate clients have been using the system since it was first marketed and sold by Wang.

"Auto/Mate has an impressive development history rooted in Wang's corporate philosophy of providing high powered software that was graphical and easy-to-use," said Esposito. "Over the years we've continued to expand on that theme by adding increased functionality and power without losing the system's basic simplicity and ease of operation."

Auto/Mate's Automotive Management Productivity Suite is a comprehensive dealership management system with over 20 integrated modules to help dealers more efficiently and effectively manage their business. It supports an unlimited number of users, workstations and printers, and is available as both a cost-effective in-house and ASP solution.

"This is an exciting time for us as more and more dealers re-evaluate their DMS purchasing decisions," said Esposito. "Dealerships that have switched to AMPS are amazed at the money they've been able to save without compromising on features, service or support."
