Advanced Systems, Inc. (ASI) today announced that Scott Larkin has joined ASI as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Larkin joins ASI after five years at Pragmatics, where he served as Operations Manager for their large and global accounts. As COO, Mr. Larkin will be responsible for the continued delivery of quality Information Technology services to ASI's growing customer base. Mr. Larkin's responsibilities encompass corporate operations and administrative functions. He will report directly to ASI's President, Dr. Robert Walker.
When interviewed, Dr. Walker stated: "Scott has a long history of implementing successful management practices based on Industry best practices. His demonstrated knowledge in process improvement initiatives under CMMI Level 4 and ISO 9001:2000 will guide ASI's operations as we continue our period of explosive growth. Scott understands ASI's goal of employing people and technology to dramatically increase IT solution effectiveness for our customers and is passionate about building a business that will enable us to realize this mission."

Larkin received a master's degree in management of Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of the State of New York. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and their youngest daughter.
