International Photography Awards (IPA) announced the winners of this year's IPA Photographer of the Year awards.
John N. Poulos of United States was Awarded six Honorable mention awards in the Architecture category for his entries, "Manhattan Morning", "Storm", "Jersey City Powerhouse", and "New York City Skyline".
About John N. Poulos:
John N. Poulos was born and raised down the Jersey Shore, where he now resides with his wife and son. John is an attorney with a Wall Street law firm in Jersey City, New Jersey. John is an avid photographer, having pursued his passion for photography for over ten years. His work focuses on architectural, cityscape and fine art photography. As an emerging architectural photographer, John has a passion for depicting the ever-changing landscape of metropolitan cities, including New York City and Jersey City, as well as the Jersey Shore. John's work reflects a unique ability to breathe new life into his subjects by, for example, bringing out the true art and beauty in abandoned buildings that have been left by society to decay.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts from New York University and a Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School.
The 2008 International Photography Awards has received over 22,000 submissions from 124 countries across the globe. IPA's mission is to salute the achievements of the world's finest photographers, to discover new and emerging talent, and to promote the appreciation of photography.
