Added features and a redesigned look were unveiled today by JYGY (http://www.jygy.com), the worldwide mobile community heralded as "One of the 20 Most Interesting Wireless Start-ups" by DailyWireless.

Accessible online and on mobile phones, JYGY is a global, social meeting and marketplace that is now compatible with virtually all social networks, including Facebook and MySpace. JYGY CEO Mikael Vinding says that improved search functionality and a dedicated interface for iPhone owners are just two of the user-requested features included in today's rollout.

"As a result of our latest renovations, it's even easier to use JYGY, no matter what device you have or what platform you're on. In seconds, anyone can create sensational ways to search for and stay connected with new and existing friends," said Vinding. "We've put the fun and control where it belongs-- back in the hands of mobile phone users."

Social networking applications such as JYGY Groups are part of the company's user-created mobile arsenal. Groups enable anyone to create their own private chat rooms, to instantly poll friends, to set-up RSS feeds on their phone and to set-up broadcasts (mobile messages that are sent to one friend, or to hundreds of opt-in recipients, simultaneously).

Groups can be made public, or private. JYGY users can add friends, text them, share pictures and interact in a variety of ways via the Web, WAP and through text messaging (SMS). As an example, musicians that want to keep their fans current on new releases or on upcoming concert information can do so by creating a JYGY Broadcast, in just seconds. Fans opt-in and information is sent right to their mobile phones.

"JYGY users create their own experience and subject material, so there's no limit to what can be fashioned," said Vinding. "JYGY is the world's only mobile destination where you can make your own multimedia applications and share them with friends anywhere on the planet."

Using JYGY on wireless handsets is as simple as texting SIGNUP to short code 695949 (MYJYGY). In addition to international compatibility, JYGY is accessible on all mobile phones in the United States. JYGY maintains billing and connectivity agreements with mobile operators internationally and through revenue share agreements, JYGY is able to derive income from mobile consumers.

"The promise of wireless communications is the anytime, anyplace delivery of everything," stated Vinding. "That's a tall order, but mobile consumers shouldn't settle for anything else. And we won't settle for giving them anything less."
