QVC, Inc., announced today the customer rollout of a suite of mobile services, including "QVC Text Ordering," a new service that enables its customers to use text messages to find and buy products sold on QVC. The launch of these services also marks the unveiling of QVC's new mobile Web site: m.QVC.com, where customers can browse QVC product and show information, as well as make purchases. QVC's mobile services have been in limited availability since July 2008.

"Once registered with the service, our customers can purchase an item in just two text messages, making shopping even more fast and convenient than ever."
QVC Text Ordering - Make Purchases Anywhere, Anytime, From Any Mobile Device
In just three easy steps, QVC customers can complete registration for QVC Text Ordering. Those customers interested in accessing the service should text the words "JOIN" and their QVC customer number or e-mail address on file to 78246 ("QVCGO"). Once this information has been sent, the customer will receive a text message back from QVC to verify the account. After verification, QVC will send the customer back a final text message, informing the customer that he/she is now ready to place an order.
Purchasing an item is just as simple: customers interested in purchasing an item should send a text message to 78246 ("QVCGO") with the QVC item number (e.g. "A17025"). QVC will then send back a text message confirming the item number, its price and a request for verification. If the account is valid, QVC will send back a text message confirming the order and providing an estimated delivery date.
Standard text messaging rates apply to all QVC mobile text services. There are no additional premium charges imposed by QVC for usage of the service.
Keyword Texts Provide Information in an Instant, Add Items to Wish Lists
Customers can also use select keywords to expedite their purchase. For example, customers can text "TSV" to 78246 ("QVCGO") to order the Today's Special Value®, an item offered at an exceptionally low price - good for that given day, until 11:59 p.m. (ET), unless it sells out sooner. Other keywords available include "OTO" for QVC's One Time Only® item (an item offered at an exceptionally low price, for a limited amount of time, after the Today's Special Value® sells out) or "ONAIR" to purchase the item currently featured on the live broadcast.
Updating a wish list has also been simplified with QVC's new mobile services. Customers can simply text message various keywords to have items added to their wish list. These keywords include: "WISH TSV" (to add the Today's Special Value®), "WISH ONAIR" (to add the item currently being featured on the live broadcast) and "WISH Item Number" (e.g. WISH A17025) (to order the item of his/her choice).
QVC Mobile Web site Makes Shopping on the Go Easier, Faster
With the unveiling of these new mobile offerings, QVC is also concurrently launching its mobile Web site, m.QVC.com. "Our new mobile Web site, m.QVC.com, allows our customers to access information in one convenient place, and the site's mobile design makes searching fast," said Myers.
At m.QVC.com, customers can find out the Today's Special Value®, items on-air, items "new today," etc. They can also view QVC's program guide, search for products by item number or make a purchase. Those interested in accessing the site should simply open an Internet browser on his/her mobile device and enter in the URL "m.QVC.com" (mobile.QVC.com also works). Once the connection is made, the QVC Mobile Web page will be displayed. The customer can then scroll through the various options.
Customers interested in ordering an item with multiple attributes (e.g. size, color) can do so via m.QVC.com. QVC is working to add this feature to QVC Text Ordering in the near future. It also plans to extend this feature to the Wish List application. Additionally, customers will be able to sign-up to receive text alerts for information pertaining to order and shipping confirmations, Today's Special Value®, One Time Only® items and special promotions.
