Knowledge Infusion will discuss evolving communication strategies in human resources at the 2008 Human Resources/Training and Development Conference

Knowledge Infusion, a leading provider of strategic advisory and consulting services focused on HR, talent management, and emerging technology solutions, today announced that Knowledge Infusion Principal Consultant Suzanne Rumsey will present the session, "Evolving Communication Strategies in HR," at the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) 2008 Human Resources/Training & Development Conference. The conference is September 14 - 16 in Monterey, CA, and provides the opportunity for food retailers to enhance professional partnerships and gather information on critical business issues.

Knowledge Infusion joins other presenters in discussing important topics particularly important to the success of the food industry, including turn-over and retention strategies, leadership development, employee engagement, and effective communication strategies. With tracks geared to both human resources, and training and development leaders, the conference provides the opportunity for attendees to enhance professional partnerships and gather information on critical business issues.

"The industry faces major challenges recruiting and retaining the associates to help companies grow and provide the best possible customer service," said Laurie Gethin, FMI senior manager of education. "Superior communications skills and strategies are essential to meet these challenges, especially with the advent of new media."

"In today's increasingly complex business environment, it is imperative for retailers to understand how they can use the latest communication media and strategies to drive engagement, performance, and retention," said Suzanne Rumsey, Knowledge Infusion Principal Consultant. "I look forward to the Food Marketing Institute conference as an opportunity for us to continue our commitment to the industry and share human resource strategy insights that we've created with many retail industry clients."

Knowledge Infusion's expertise in the retail industry stems from successfully leading several leading grocers and retailers--including Safeway, HEB, Applebee's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Saks, Payless ShoeSource, and VF Corporation--in their HR and talent management technology strategies. In addition, Knowledge Infusion has recently published the research paper, "Do or Die: The Talent Management Imperative in Retail." The paper explains how retailers who holistically manage their supply and demand of talent using systems in the context of business goals and operations will be at a distinct competitive advantage. The paper is available to premium members of the Knowledge Infusion Center of Excellence.
