Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) September 12, 2008
TeamPages.com, the Vancouver-based company that helps coaches, sports teams, and athletes organize their schedules on the web, has launched TeamPages Pro, an advanced version of their free online website tool for sports teams.
"The new features come directly from listening to athletes, parents and coaches. Their great ideas have turned into new options for everyone," said Mike Tan, founder and CEO of TeamPages.com. "We took the best ideas, whether from a junior soccer player or a varsity coach, and made TeamPages better."
The new Pro offering extends the original set of TeamPages tools and is intended for teams that want to customize their online presence. Both versions provide a central online location where teams can post and share their information such as schedules, announcements, contact information, statistics and photos--saving time and reducing headaches for coaches, parents and players.
TeamPages Pro expands these basic options with a range of new features:
- Teams can customize their pages with custom team header colors, custom pages and links
- Pages can include a sponsor showcase section, earning money for the team or sponsors
- Sub-domains can be created for each team
- Team members now have unlimited space to upload photos, movies and documents
- A full range of new printer-friendly rosters, schedules and game sheets
TeamPages Pro is available to current and new TeamPage members for a year-long subscription fee of $53.95.
TeamPages is currently used by over 4,800 teams in North America, Australia, Europe, India, and Japan and has been described as a "facebook for sports teams." Current members include community sports teams, varsity sports leagues, state-run athletic organizations and intramural groups.
TeamPages is an online communication tool for amateur sports. It allows you to manage your organization, league and/or team by providing you with the ability to post and update schedules, league standings and team statistics. TeamPages provides a centralized location for all of your sports communication needs by allowing you to send out messages and post notifications. TeamPages also allows you to stay in touch with your team mates. You can upload and share photos, movies and favorite game day memories and can also message your friends and find out who will be attending the games and practices.
TeamPages.com was launched in 2007 by students at the University of Victoria in British Columbia who were tired of missing their intramural soccer games due to miscommunication between teammates and coaches. The company has been selected for the CBC television program Fortune Hunters (airing January 2009) as an example of how to expand an online business into global markets.
