The Mobile Search Awards, organised by Vision Gain, will be held on the evening of 16th September, the first day of the annual Mobile Search Conference 2008.
Just the Flight, a longstanding Guava client, approached the agency last year to work on their pioneering mobile travel website http://www.justtheflight.co.uk/mobile. The application is optimised for mobile devices, which allows people to search for a destination, e.g. 'flights to Dubai', book and pay for flights easily through their mobile phone.
Guava worked on the SEO campaign for Just the Flight's main website so the team had developed an in-depth understanding of the company's target market and keyphrases. Guava set about working alongside JTF on getting the site listed with high visibility on mobile search engines. This involved a wealth of research and a vigorous testing process to ensure that the site was being read correctly by those all important spiders!
Just the Flight is currently ranking highly on Google mobile and Yahoo! mobile for their business critical keyphrases, such as "Flights to Orlando" and "Flight to Malaga". Simon Goddard, Technical Director can see why Guava has received this search engine optimisation nomination:
