Sky Player offers TV online for less, with new-release films to download, breathtaking documentaries and numerous TV shows, exclusive to Sky Player.

Sky Player, the place to watch Sky TV online, already offers access to the largest selection of online movies to watch on-demand in the UK. In addition to the 500+ movies available free of charge to Sky Movies subscribers, all Sky subscribers can use Sky Player to rent the most recent blockbuster titles (through Sky Box Office) and special interest titles (through Sky Box Office World) on a pay per view basis.

However, to help movies fans get even more from Sky Player, Sky is reducing the price for premium Sky Box Office and Sky Box Office World titles from £3.99 (Euro 5.75) to £3.50 (Euro 4.50), and introducing a new, lower price point of £2.50 to rent older titles.

Current and upcoming movies available to watch online on Sky Box Office include Jumper, 10,000 BC and What Happens in Vegas.

Sky Box Office World offers Bollywood movies, Eastern Action, World Festival and Cinema Europa titles, and many are exclusive to Sky Player. Examples include The Diving Bell & The Butterfly, Once Upon A Time In China, and Lust, Caution.

Sky Movies customers can access over 500 movies online from the Sky Movies schedules, to view as many titles as they want free of charge. Current titles available for download include The Simpsons Movie, Vacancy and Die Hard 4.0.

Though Sky Box Office, customers are able to store rental movies on their PCs or laptops for 7 days, and watch them as often as they like within a 48 hours period. There's no limit on the number of subscription titles which can be downloaded or watched online instantly at Sky Player - all in near-DVD quality. And all subscription movies titles can be stored and viewed for up to 30 days.

Griff Parry, Director of OnDemand, BSkyB, comments: "SkyPlayer offers Sky customers even more value from their core Sky TV subscription, delivering increased flexibility in the way they consume TV. Sky Movies customers love being able to liberate their movies from the TV screen by downloading titles to their PCs and are doing so in ever increasing numbers. But in lowering the cost of pay-per-view titles via Sky Box Office, we are hoping that all Sky Player customers see even more value through the service, particularly as they access the best in World Cinema alongside the biggest and best Hollywood classics."

Sky Player is the destination for watching TV online, whether streamed or downloaded. In addition to offering content from all Sky channels, Sky also works with other channel brands to offer a rich and diverse selection of online TV content. Hundreds of thousands of customers have already used Sky Player to download their favourite TV series, documentaries and countless other pieces of content from Sky Player, including over 3 million movie downloads.
