New Awards Program Helps Frugal Consumers Find Best House and Home Resources on Web

These are tough economic times and consumers and looking for solid advice that they can access quickly on everything from how to save at the supermarket to weekend activity ideas for the family. But who has the time to research the web? Launched just in time for this busy season is the Hillbilly Housewife Best Website Awards. Chosen by readers, this monthly awards program is a must have reference guide for smart consumers.

Rock Hill, SC (PRWEB) September 14, 2008 -- Just in time for one of the busiest seasons of the year is a monthly awards program highlighting the best frugal resources on the web for everything from discount coupons to crafting. Rising food and fuel prices have consumers eager to find cost saving resources fast. The new Hillbilly Housewife Best Website Awards program has just made searching the web for quality, budget conscious resources easier.

"The Hillbilly Housewife website has an audience of over 300,000 loyal readers who share ideas and questions on a host of topics every day. I decided that this growing community of smart, frugal shoppers and homemakers could offer the best ideas and suggestions on websites covering other topics of interest to our audience. The Hillbilly Housewife Best Website Awards offers an alternative to endless searches on Google for just the right quality, frugal, family friendly websites for consumers today," says Susanne Myers, the owner of the Hillbilly Housewife website.

"Websites selected for these awards are those that have our seal of approval and that's meaningful to many people who've grown to trust the Hillbilly Housewife's frugal, home-grown advice over the 10 years we've been in business." adds Myers.

According to the guidelines of the awards program, each month readers have an opportunity to suggest websites for that month's pre-determined topic (e.g. crafting). Once the list is developed, readers are then given a chance to visit the suggested sites before voting on their favorite site for that topic.

Topics to be awarded over the year include: September - Discount Coupons; October - Homemaking; November - Crafting; December - Christian Family/Parenting; January - Frugal Shopping/Saving Money; February - Cooking/Recipes; March - Parenting Sites; April - Gardening; May - Home Organization; June - Homeschooling; July - Personal Blogs; August - Family Sites.
