Such is the passion that has fueled the success of Josiah's Catering. The brainchild of Filipino couple Felix and Judith Versoza, Josiah's is a success story 15 years in the making. "We grow our business by doing proper research, attending training sessions, reading books, and going to conferences," said Felix Versoza. "We never stop learning, and we never stop developing ideas. One of our unique attributes is that we make and develop our own equipment and designs through our very own engineering department. It is a passion that has been shared with the couple's two children, Executive Chef Jasper Versoza and Pastry Chef Fresh Versoza. From specialties that range from deliciously tasty lengua to the refreshing flavor of buko pandan, Josiah's sibling chefs create a smorgasbord of culinary creations and delicate desserts. "Unilever Foodsolutions is very supportive of us and we really like their products," said Executive Chef Jasper Versoza. "Unilever was the first to introduce the industrial pack for ingredients -- they're very easy to use, cost efficient, and really cuts down on manpower. Sauce, for instance, is very important to catering. When I first started, I always wanted to make things from scratch, but when you're catering to thousands of people (like we do), you can't do that. The UFS products we're using are very flexible. After we enhance the base with our own unique touch, the final product comes out tasting really good. UFS products are also very versatile, so you can make a lot of things from it."

Josiah's Catering boasts of numerous accolades that have solidified their position as one of Manila's best caterers. But the passion that drives the Versozas goes deeper than winning awards and recognition.

"Hearing people say how delicious the food is and how great the service is inspires me to keep going," said Judith. "I always tell my staff that our guests are not guests, but potential clients. We're consistently rated as one of the top ten wedding caterers, which means something to our staff as well to my family. I believe it's the service we offer.
