The phenomenal art of Lore Eckelberry was selected to be exhibited at the Asian Art Museum in Fukuoka, Japan. The show will start on September 27th and will run until October 2008. Among the pieces exhibited will be incredible pop art portraits with amazing combinations of colors that create marvelous images delightful to the eye. Combinations of red, yellow, deep purple, bright pink and black brought together with the masterful skill that Lore has in the manipulation of color where she brings the colors together to create a visual symphony of color harmonies.
Lore will also be exhibiting at the Tokunaga Gallery in Japan. 'Black Eyes' is one of the exhibited portraits: it is a striking portrait of a boy looking directly at you with such an intensity that it makes you feel he is alive right in front of you. This painting will also be featured in the October 2008 issue of Southwest Art Magazine.
The museum's opening reception will be held on September 27th at 4:00 PM. The Fukuoka Asian Art Museum is located at 3-1 Shimogawabata-machi, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, 812-0027, Japan.
