ActiveXperts Software announces ActiveXperts Network Monitor v.7.1

Today ActiveXperts Software B.V. announced a new version of its network monitoring product: Network monitor v.7.1. The new version is scheduled for release in November 2008. The new release provides users with new features and feature enhancements.

The new version is scheduled for release in December 2008. The new release provides users with new features, feature enhancements and a few minor bug fixes.
The following checks are new in v.7.1: Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) check, Serial Device check, SNMP Trap Receive check and an SSH check.

There are new environmental checks included: Power check, Light check, Motion check, Smoke check, Door check, Resistance check, Switch (NC) check and a Switch (NO) check.
There are new Anti-Virus checks included, including: McAfee VirusScan Plus 2009, Norton Internet Security 2009, Norton Anti Virus 2009, Trend Micro Internet Security 2009, Panda Internet Security 2009 and Panda Anti Virus 2009.

The following checks are enhanced in v.7.1: Directory check (you can now monitor directory changes), Disk Space check (you can now percentages), Memory check (you can now monitor committed memory and pages per second), Process check (you can now check for any process consuming too much memory), SNMP Get (you can now use MIB files to locate an OID).
In v.7.1., there's no limitation to the number of distribution groups, used in notifications. In previous versions of Network monitor, it was limited to 24.
