Firm focuses on driving business for entrepreneurs and companies in transition.

We hired Engine because we know we only get one chance to announce ourselves to the marketplace

Engine Innovations, a marketing, communication and public relations firm, launches operations to provide services for new businesses and for companies that want a new perspective on their marketing strategy.

Engine Innovations drives business for clients by creating marketing strategies to communicate each client's vision and passion to the market. "We see marketing as a key factor in capturing the attention of buyers and bringing revenue in the door. There is no substitute for delivering a compelling message," says James Delaney, the Principal of Engine Innovations, Inc. "Our goal is to help business leaders tell their story in the most clear and effective manner possible. Our ultimate goal is to simpy increase revenue for our clients."

Schwarz Dygos Wheeler (SDW), an independent wealth management firm, hired Engine Innovations to help communicate the launch of SDW services in Minneapolis. "We hired Engine because we know we only get one chance to announce ourselves to the marketplace," said Benjamin Wheeler, managing member of SDW. "Engine developed clear communications to help us talk to clients and prospects the right way, right from the start. They also got us media attention within a few weeks of our launch." SDW has now contracted Engine Innovations to develop a strategy to consistently bring in new business.

Engine Innovations also works with companies that are going through a transition of leadership or ownership. "Any transition in a company is an opportunity to review and potentially improve marketing strategy," says Delaney. "We come across companies where no one from the outside has reviewed their strategy for years. A lot of times it is just about offering a new perspective. Pre-sale we can help a business owner increase the value of their company. Post-sale we can help ensure the new owner succeeds."

Delaney, a former VP of sales in the finance industry, left to pursue the launch of Engine Innovations, despite a uncertain economy. "I simply love my job and it is a great time to be in this business," he says. "We work with great companies who still need to sell their products, but they don't want the financial strain of a full-time marketing staff. We fill in that gap and do it with less overhead."

Engine Innovations is currently working on projects for a diverse group of clients in several industries, including an online reservations company focused on Fortune 100, a boutique hotel, a decade-old Web development company and a leader in sales training curriculum.

Community is also very important to the founders of Engine Innovations. They commit, as a company, to donate 5% of top-line revenue to nonprofits that serve children in Minnesota.
