A New Business Model for Strategic Marketing
Marketing is often a chronic problem at companies for several reasons: the talent pool of quality CMO's is small, expensive and hard to attract, and the tenure of the CMO is notoriously short - an average of 26 months. As a result, many companies are turning to interim executives to provide a higher experience level more quickly.

"By 2012, interim workers are expected to comprise 25% of the workforce, and the growth of interim executives is even greater," said Dr. Katherine Jones, Principal Advisor, The Human Capital Institute and author of the report The Interim Executive: Gaining a Competitive Business Edge through Interim Executive Management. "Many companies are embracing interim executives to fill critical business roles and are benefitting from a higher level of experience than they could otherwise afford or attract, a quicker ramp up time, sustained value over time, less risk, and an overall lower cost of leadership talent."

The Cinterim model is focused on strategic marketing leadership that leverages executive expertise: providing companies with an interim Chief Marketing Officer to establish strategy, branding and positioning and then combining these strategic services with optional full-scale marketing services via a network of partners. Cinterim's partners offer public relations, product marketing, branding and design, demand generation, and social media.

Cinterim Marketing Enclaves: Trusted Forums for Senior Marketers
Cinterim has also introduced Cinterim Enclaves, select groups of senior marketers that meet once a month to confidentially discuss the challenges marketers face both internally and externally and help each other find solutions to common problems.

The first Cinterim Enclave will take place in Q4 of 2008. More information is available at http://www.cinterim.com/enclaves/.

"Cinterim presents an evolved model for marketing that combines the experience of seasoned CMO's with a full-service network of partners," said Lisa Arthur, CEO of Cinterim. "Our approach allows companies to quickly develop marketing strategy, branding and positioning and then go into rapid-fire execution mode and leverage Enterprise 2.0 technologies to gain competitive advantage."
