Greensboro, NC (PRWEB) September 16, 2008
James Ridinger, president and CEO of Market America, announced today it has launched maNewsstand, a digital download of today's leading magazines, catalogs and books that will also connect people with products through interactive advertising.
The beta version of maNewsstand launched with users able to download full issues of their favorite magazines directly from marketamerica.com. In the coming weeks, Market America will be adding more leading magazines to maNewsstand as well as catalogs and books for digital download. A cutting edge feature of this new service is that advertisers in digital publications will have their advertisement clicked on and then linked to send the consumer directly to the product or service they are advertising for possible purchase.
"As more and more publications become digitized, Market America is in prime position to offer our over 3 million preferred customers the ability to download their favorite magazines via the Internet and in turn are able to offer advertisers the ability to have users link directly to the products and services they are advertising," said James Ridinger. "Market America's goal has always been to match products with people as easily and efficiently as possible, and this takes it to a whole new level and continues our mission of being the ultimate online shopping destination as we revolutionize the publishing and advertising industries."
Among the publications being rolled out in the beta version of maNewsstand is Haute Living, a bi-coastal publication that aims to set a new standard for the luxury lifestyle. "We at Haute Living are excited to be accepted to the digital newsstand as we firmly believe this is the evolution of publishing," said Kamal Hotchandani, publisher of Haute Living.
Market America is partnering with iMirus, a leader in digital publishing platforms to implement maNewsstand. "We're so confident of our ability to increase paid circulation, we're willing to put our chips in the game by offering the creation of Digital Editions in a no-cost, no-risk revenue share model with these publishers," said Chris Riggs, president and CEO of iMirus.
Several other magazines are available for download on the free beta version of maNewsstand including Market America's Powerline Magazine. iMirus and Market America are working with leading publishers to bring a wide variety of magazines to maNewsstand before the holiday season.
Users of maNewsstand will be able to order paid subscriptions, single issues or single articles of major titles and select the format -- print or digital. maNewsstand is now available on the front page of http://www.marketamerica.com.
