ShoreGroup Appoints John J. McCarthy to National Sales Director

Veteran sales executive to scale sales operations and increase market awareness of ShoreGroup's managed services offerings and unified communications and contact center technologies across North America

ShoreGroup, Inc., a premier systems management solutions and IT professional services firm, today announced the expansion of the sales team with the appointment of John J. McCarthy as National Sales Director. Mr. McCarthy is a top-level telecommunications executive with over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and distribution management. As National Sales Director, Mr. McCarthy will report to Jim LaRosa, ShoreGroup's Executive Vice President.

As Computer Associates' Vice President of Sales, McCarthy oversaw the successful global launch of voice management products through the Concord Communications and subsequent Computer Associates direct and indirect sales channels. Mr. McCarthy has also served as CEO and President of Vitel Software, where he increased sales opportunities by building strategic relationships and industry solutions with market-leading companies.

McCarthy will also be drawing on his telecommunications and management experiences gained through a successful career with industry giants like Rolm, Centigram, IBM, and Sprint to successfully identify emerging unified communications/messaging initiatives within the contact center and telecommunications managed services sectors. McCarthy held the position of Vice President of North American Sales for GeoTel Communications, the market leader in network-based call routing solutions for contact centers. Acquired by Cisco Systems in June 1999, GeoTel provided a suite of telecommunications and computer telephony software products that became the core element in Cisco's IPCC Enterprise solution. Mr. McCarthy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Providence College.
