Building on well-attended real-life careers events, is a media rich virtual event, offering attendees a highly interactive environment whilst replicating aspects of a physical event.

This is done by creating a content-rich website that is interactive and interesting by using functionality such as videos and podcasts to provide information about a company, as well as industry insights and extensive career advice. is building on the success of their first Online JobsFair last May, which showcased career opportunities in the Medical, Science and IT sectors.

"A major factor in the decision to launch a series of online fairs was the desire to make it easier for jobseekers to attend our fairs", said Michael Wallace, Commercial Director of "Logging onto a virtual fair for an hour is much less intrusive than having to take a day off to attend an event in person."

Competition on a global scale is forcing companies to look at innovative ways of both marketing and recruiting. "Employers will have difficulty attracting high quality jobseekers if they do not take steps to engage with people", Wallace added. "They must present themselves in a way that will attract the jobseeker, and build a relationship with them so that they want to apply for a role."

Online recruitment fairs give employers real costs savings plus increased ease and efficiency in the recruitment process. Significant cost savings can be achieved through the reduction in placement costs and advertising fees, reducing the resource required to recruit along with administrative savings.
