Brenda Clement beat cancer. Now through her business, SPF-Central, she's making sure that people have the opportunity to fight the dangers of skin cancer and a host of other problems that UV rays can cause.

The products I carry are high in quality, as well as stylish and affordable.

Cancer survivor Brenda Clement may not have had melanoma, but she wants to do something to make sure that people are aware of harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. "I want to spread information about the sun and its dangers," explained Clement.

Clement's website, http://www.SPF-Central.com is a mixture of information and products. She has all the facts laid out easily on her website, as well as several items for men, women and children to protect themselves from the sun.

"I have sun-protective clothing on my site," said Clement. "The products I carry are high in quality, as well as stylish and affordable."

Not only does SPF-Central have clothing and other skin care products, but they also have a line of gardening equipment, after all, if you're gardening, you're under the sun. "I love gardening and you can have a proper SPF shirt for gardening," Clement said.

Though the website has only been active since April, Clement has taken strides to make it customer friendly, including a blog she's developed. "It's a great avenue to write about skin news, skin care and the importance of sun protection," said Clement of http://www.StaySafeInTheSun.com. "I would love to hear others' personal experiences, so we can all learn from each other."

Additionally, Clement hopes to add more items to her site: "I'd like to expand the product line - have more hats and clothing. Maybe more things for women, such as blouses and pants."

Brenda Clement is a person who understands that she is lucky and now she's taking the opportunity to ensure people are aware that they can be proactive and avoid the harmful effects of UV rays.

"I do know that it's important to become cognizant of the dangers of the sun" said Clements. "When we think of UV, we think of skin cancer, but it also causes wrinkles, eye damage and lowers the immune system. But the good news here is that we can protect ourselves."
