With a nationwide shift in the real estate market, agent and owner Kim Alexander (http://www.kimalexandergroup.com) of Keller Williams Realty in Carmel, Indiana believes that agents must be willing to adjust their lives and business accordingly if they are to succeed. That message rings loud and clear in the much anticipated book Shift, written by Keller Williams Realty co-founder Gary Keller along with top producing real estate agents Dave Jenkins and Jay Papasan.

"Gary Keller says that it's not about the market...it's about what we do and how we react. It's how we look at ourselves, our businesses, the market and the economy. By first helping ourselves, we are better positioned to help our clients take advantage of opportunities in today's real estate market," says Alexander.

Shift is the latest book by Keller in his Millionaire Real Estate book series which includes The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and The Millionaire Real Estate Investor.

Alexander, who oversees agents in offices in Indiana and Ohio, says that her Carmel, Indiana office, which launched in 2003, is now one of the highest producing offices in the Indianapolis market. She says it's the philosophy, training and support that attract many of the market's top-producing agents to transfer their real estate licenses to Keller Williams. "They are tired of the doom and gloom mentality and hearing that they just need to 'stay the course and ride out the storm'. They appreciate Keller Williams' proactive and positive approach and our focus on self improvement."

Alexander adds, "The economy is going to continue to shift. I can't stress to my agents enough that it's important to let sellers know that now is a great time to upgrade. They can get more house for their money now than they could eighteen months ago." She also says that due to a tightening in mortgage lending, more people are renting while saving up for a larger down payment. This translates into an opportunity for real estate investors who can rent out their properties now and potentially sell them when the economy rebounds.
