My Business Manager launches at Accountants Technology Conference

My Business Manager, winner of the 2007 NSW Pitchfest competition co-hosted by the Australian Small Scale Offerings Board (ASSOB) and NSW Department of State and Regional Development, today announces its official launch at the Accountants Technology Conference in Melbourne.

Presented by Business Development Manager, Gavin Thiele, CPA, My Business Manager is a powerful new program that interfaces with all major accounting software and provides financial and performance information in graphical form for small and medium sized businesses.

"As former CFO of MYOB New Zealand, it became clear that what SME clients want to know, is "How much cash do I need? Am I on target? How can we improve?" says Gavin Thiele. "Most small enterprises don't know how to use or interpret the financial statements they receive and the time and cost of providing this information outweighs what the client is willing to pay to their accountant," Thiele explains.

My Business Manager board member and Accountants Technology Conference convenor, David Smith, describes the market gap that MBM fills, "MBM provides the opportunity for accountants to focus on business performance and get away from compliance work. MYOB and QuickBooks are great tools for gathering basic financial data, however, they don't allow the information to be extracted in a simple way, enabling the small business person to quickly see the things that are affecting their business."

"For under $10 per month, My Business Manager provides a graphical dashboard within minutes," says Thiele, "requiring little or no involvement from senior staff and using data directly imported from a company's accounting system. This provides cost-effective, regular client contact and value-add." My Business Manager Chairman, John Petty agrees. "The power of My Business Manager is that it gives a small business the analytical data normally provided by a financial controller in a major firm. MBM software also enables accountants to become indispensable to their SME clients."

"My Business Manager has come a long way since it won the 2007 NSW Pitchfest competition" says Brookes McTavish, Managing Director of Australian Small Scale Offerings Board. The judges knew that the company had a great product, but now it's is ready to raise capital to rollout its distribution to the Australian and New Zealand markets."
