St. Clair County, MI (PRWEB) September 20, 2008
The Economic Development Alliance of St. Clair County (EDA) is pleased to announce the launch of its entirely redesigned economic development website.
The internet has become one of the most successful economic development business attraction and marketing tools available, and a large majority of initial site selection searches are now being conducted online by site selection consultants and corporate real estate professionals. The EDA understands the importance of having a strong website presence with key features and easy navigation, and how it can ultimately affect the perception of our community and its' ability to gain and keep the interest of key decision makers who may be viewing it.
EDA's new website is specifically redesigned to incorporate user friendly, "quick-click" navigation with key categories important to site selectors; such as property searches, workforce, demographics, transportation systems, Incentives, and Quality of Life.
In addition, with the production assistance of the Great Lakes Maritime Media Center of Acheson Ventures, the EDA is proud to have a new business attraction video which emphasizes St. Clair County's exceptional transportation & logistics, workforce and successful attraction of key employers such as Keihin, Chrysler, and Visiocorp, just to name a few. EDA's business attraction video is not only viewable on our website (http://www.edascc.com); it has also been posted on YouTube in a variety of Michigan economic development categories, including: alternative energy sites, wind/solar sites, homeland security and defense sites, automotive sites and more.
Before any community can make a company's short list, they have to gain exposure and be considered. Therefore, we are taking full advantage of the most common internet tools used by competing regions, as well as other Economic Development agencies to get St. Clair County noticed and recognized as a potential location for new business.
We hope that EDA's enhanced website and marketing video will play an important role in getting St. Clair County on the site selection radar for a wide variety of possible business ventures that will enhance the quality of life in St. Clair County, Michigan and provide an array of career choices for our citizens. We are working hard toward diversifying our economy and attracting new business in key targeted industries in advanced manufacturing, homeland security and defense, customer/financial services and alternative energy. We believe these online marketing tools will help us pave the way to creating a dialogue with many more companies that may be a good fit for our community.
Doug Alexander, EDA Executive Director said, "We are very excited about the enhancements we have made to our St. Clair County economic development website and the quality of our new business attraction video. We will continue our efforts to increase awareness of our county through improved online marketing and we invite everyone to visit our new and improved website online at http://www.edascc.com where we show the world the St. Clair County Advantage!"
