David A. Long, president of Vitech will deliver an in depth tutorial focused on systems engineering and DoDAF at SETE, on September 22 in Canberra, Australia. Mr. Long's presentation, entitled, "A Model-Based Systems Engineering Roadmap for Developing DoDAF Architectures" will look at the design and development of a complete DoDAF architecture through the application of a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approach and process. A sample problem will be used to both illustrate the roadmap and deliver a complete set of the systems architecture products.

The tutorial includes:

  • A review of architecture frameworks
  • Challenges facing DoDAF users
  • Responding to the DoDAF 1.5 toward net-centric concepts
  • Supporting service oriented architecture concepts
